Software Development Engineer III

The Software Development Engineer (SDE) position will be part of Security Risk Advisors’ Software Development Team. Our style of development is dynamic, innovative, fast-paced, and highly rewarding. We team with SRA’s Advisory Services, CyberSOC, and Research & Innovation teams to enhance our information security consulting practice in addition to building tools that serve our employees and our clients.

We are rapidly improving our primary application VECTR (http://vectr.io/) with state-of-the-art enterprise software features. We are looking for new team members to help us grow VECTR and build additional information security offensive and defensive tools. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a wide variety of tool sets and build software used by well-known organizations.

• Software development using technologies including but not limited to Java, Python, NodeJS, AngularJS, VueJS, MongoDB, and Docker to produce desktop, web, and mobile solutions
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure quality of work
• Perform effectively as part of the software development group to deliver timely results according to our Agile development process
• Mentor less experienced team members and peer review work
• Thoroughly document work in formal reports and present findings to management suitable for customer consumption

• Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential

• Remain current on information security and emerging threat trends, tools, and methodologies to combat the same where applicable
• Work directly with parts of software development team CI/CD pipeline and cloud infrastructure
• Participate in technical security testing or software security assessments for SRA client organizations

• 4+ years previous professional software development experience in both front end and back end web application development
  • Practical experience programming in Java or Java-like language to deliver web services
  • Practical experience developing modern web applications with a front-end framework like Angular, React, or Vue
• Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Knowledge and comfort using Linux
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs
• Ability to work independently and articulate progress of projects to management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject matter
