Another triumph in the books! Hack The Box, the leading gamified cybersecurity upskilling, certification, and talent assessment platform, has been named the 1st Best Workplace in Technology for the Greek market in the "50-250 Employees" category, adding to its 2023 awards from Great Place To Work, including 7th Best Workplace in Europe and 4th Best Workplace in Greece. These accolades reflect the pivotal role its employees play in its mission to create and connect cyber-ready humans and organizations through highly engaging hacking experiences that cultivate out-of-the-box thinking.

The Best Workplaces in Technology in Greece 2023 list, released for the first time in Greece, comprises 25 companies selected from surveying around 8,500 employees across 45 Great Place To Work-Certified™ technology firms in the Greek market.

What specific factors have set Hack The Box apart as the top workplace in the technology sector?

It all starts with a product designed by highly tech-savvy individuals for the tech community's use. A product that aims to disrupt how upskilling standards in one of the hottest and rapidly growing sectors within the technology industry - cybersecurity - are built. A product that offers five disruptive solutions, such as HTB Labs, HTB Enterprise, HTB Academy, HTB CTF, and HTB Talent Search, all in one single platform.

Each of these product streams is bolstered by dedicated teams of Software Engineers and supported by the overall teams of Infrastructure Engineers, QA Analysts, Product Managers, and Content Engineers. Notably, nearly 70% of the company’s tech team is located in its Greek premises, establishing it as an important tech hub for its global operations.

Apart from its purely tech department, a tech-oriented mentality is central to the company's overall culture. Hack The Box is an environment where everyone can experiment, fail, and learn while being in control of day-to-day activities. It is an environment that supports autonomy and flexibility, either when it comes to ideas or working location. Every employee has the freedom and independence to bring their ideas to the table, to be heard, and find the mechanisms or team to develop them. With remote being core to the company’s DNA, every employee has the right to work at the place where they feel more productive, including the company's headquarters in the UK, additional offices in Greece and the US.

"Since 2017, we are committed to redefining the standards of cybersecurity expertise and the way security skills are being developed. Our 2.3 million platform members and portfolio of over 1,500 enterprise, government, and university clients confirm that we are on the right track. To reach this point and continue expanding, we had to be tech-driven at our core, meaning to invest in cutting-edge technologies, hire top talent, and embrace the tech mindset in how we work and collaborate. Our recognition as the 1st Best Workplace in Technology is a reaffirmation for us of this commitment to keep innovating and enhancing our products, services, and technologies so we can always provide a market-leading solution. Cyberthreats are impacting businesses and consumers, and as a result of that, real-life experience will make a difference. Gamified upskilling is the only way forward for protecting against attacks. " said Haris Pylarinos, Founder and CEO at Hack The Box.
