Overview

AI is changing how cybersecurity professionals spend their time. As agents take on more tasks, people are spending more time reviewing recommendations, assessing evidence and deciding when to act.

What does this shift mean for the skills teams need—and how professionals develop them?

In the second session of our AI Security Masterclass Series, Christine Bartlett hosts a conversation with ISC2’s Marinda Hamann and Hack The Box’s Dimitris Bougioukas. Drawing on ISC2 workforce research and HTB’s approach to hands-on development, they explore how security leaders can prepare people for changing responsibilities while preserving foundational expertise.

The discussion covers the evolving entry-level career path, accountability for AI-supported decisions and appropriate reliance: knowing when to trust an agent’s recommendation and when to challenge it. It also examines how hands-on practice, decision-quality metrics and clear governance can support workforce readiness.

This session is designed for security leaders, team managers and professionals shaping their teams’ development.
