Cybersecurity Tips

A new series of cybersecurity tips are coming on Hack The Box social media channels! During the month of October, we will share every week useful guidelines on how to stay safe online. The cybersecurity tips will be focused on popular attacks and how to avoid them.

  • Password Safety & Password Management: imagine that 53% of people rely on their memory to manage passwords! Password managers can save users a lot of headaches and make accounts safer by recommending strong passwords.

  • Phishing: these attacks have become an increasingly common problem for organizations of all sizes and can be very difficult to spot. 30% of small businesses consider phishing attacks to be their top cybersecurity concern.

  • Privacy & Device Policynearly a third (31%) of US/UK respondents say they either “sometimes,” “rarely,” or “never” install software updates. Updates fix general software problems and provide new security patches where criminals might get in!
